Front-left tire is low. I’ll top it off at the Shell on Telegraph today.
Thanks. Use the gauge under the seat — should hold 34 psi.

Rent-to-own, on your terms

A path from rental to ownership — if it’s right.

Any listing can offer rent-to-own. You set the schedule and the buyout price. Rent and buyout stay separate — not financing, just a path.

How we split the work

We do the paperwork. You bring the car.

CaxFi handles

The paperwork.

  • Listing your car and bringing drivers to it
  • Driver identity verification
  • Agreements built from your terms
  • E-signature with a full record
  • Reservation and security deposits, collected for you
  • Weekly payments and direct deposit to your bank
  • In-app messaging with your driver
  • Receipts and a 1099-K at year-end
You handle

The car & the relationship.

  • The car: condition, registration, and coverage you trust
  • Handing off the keys
  • Any extra vetting you’d like beyond ID
  • Holding the security deposit (it lands with your first payout)
  • Your house rules — end a rental in-app whenever you need to
  • The day-to-day with your driver — mostly a quick message away
  • If they buy: title transfer and the sale itself
  • Your taxes — we send the 1099-K, you file
Common questions

Operator‑to‑operator.

Nothing buried. Here’s the short version.

What’s the fee?

5% of weekly rent. No listing fee. No fee on deposits. The fee is added on top of your rate, not subtracted from it — you receive exactly what you set.

How fast do I get paid?

Daily deposits to your bank after the initial escrow window (once delivery is confirmed). Reservation and security deposits arrive bundled into your first payout.

What about insurance?

Bring your own coverage — personal or commercial, whatever fits how you host. Your driver maintains their own coverage during the rental, and that’s spelled out in every agreement so both sides know where they stand.

What if a driver falls behind?

You set your own ground rules when you list — a 3-day grace period, for example. Those rules are in every agreement, so expectations are clear from day one. If something needs to end, you can wind the rental down in-app with a reason and any proof.

Can I list multiple cars?

Yes. The dashboard scales naturally — bulk actions, search, filters, per-car financials, one payout flow. One car or forty, same workflow.

Do you do credit checks on drivers?

No — identity verification only. If you’d like additional vetting, you can ask the driver directly before approving.

How do taxes work?

You’ll get a 1099-K from CaxFi at year-end. We handle the receipt; you handle the return.

Is rent-to-own a financing product?

No. Rental payments and any buyout are separate — you set the buyout price and the schedule. CaxFi is not a lender.

Put your car on the road.

Listing takes about 15 minutes. You set every term. Payments start arriving as soon as your first driver hits the road.
